Saturn moon Enceladus may have salty ocean

Thursday, June 23, 2011 NASA's Cassini–Huygens spacecraft has discovered evidence for a large-scale saltwater reservoir beneath the icy crust of Saturn's moon Enceladus. The data came from the spacecraft's direct analysis of salt-rich ice grains close to the jets ejected from the moon. The study has been published in this week's edition of the journal Nature. Cassini discovers organic material on Saturn moon

Friday, March 28, 2008 The Cassini–Huygens spacecraft has discovered "organic material" and water spewing from a geyser on one of Saturn's moons, Enceladus. According to NASA, the discovery was made when Cassini flew by the moon on March 12. "A completely unexpected surprise is that the chemistry of Enceladus, what's coming out from inside, resembles that of a comet.
