MG Rover sold to Nanjing Auto

Friday, July 22, 2005 Administrators PriceWaterHouseCoopers (PWC) have announced that the British car company MG Rover and its engine manufacturer Powertrain Ltd has been sold to Chinese company Nanjing Automobile for an unknown sum of money. The company beat bids from Shanghai Automotive (SAIC), despite being the smaller of the two. MG Rover collapsed this Spring, after struggling to make a profit for several years. Around 50 people came to hear about the organisation's evolution during 2007 and what's coming up for 2008. Illinois law means end to horse slaughter in US

Friday, May 25, 2007 Legislation banning the slaughter of horses for human consumption in Illinois, was signed into law today by Governor Rod Blagojevich. Thursday, December 10, 2009 American and European scientists say the upgraded Hubble space telescope has spotted the oldest galaxies ever seen. The images were taken with the telescope's new Wide Field Camera 3 (WFC3) in August this year.
