Crucifix in Northern Italy collapses, crushing man to death

Saturday, April 26, 2014 Ahead of Sunday's scheduled canonization of Pope John Paul II, in the Italian village of Cevo, a massive stone and wood crucifix dedicated to the late pontiff collapsed, instantly crushing a man to death and landing another in the hospital. Reports variously say the collapse took place on Wednesday or Thursday. Fujitsu launches cloud website for dog pedometer service

Tuesday, November 27, 2012 Japanese multinational company Fujitsu launched a website for a dog pedometer which allows customers to monitor their dog's health online. The device measures data while attached to the dog's collar. Customers are also able to add more data to the website manually, then it displays the complete set of data graphically. Fujitsu launched the website today (Tuesday) and plans to start the sales in Japan tomorrow (Wednesday). Zimbabwean footballer Adam Ndlovu dies in car accident aged 42

Sunday, December 16, 2012 Former Zimbabwean professional footballer Adam Ndlovu has died in a car accident that also left his brother critically injured. Adam and his brother Peter, also a former professional footballer, were in the accident after failure of a tire on the BMW X5 Adam was reportedly driving. Wednesday, April 11, 2012 Ex-Washington, D.C. third grade teacher Eric Justin Toth, who worked at the National Cathedral's Beauvoir school, was officially added to the top of the FBI's Ten Most Wanted Fugitive List yesterday, replacing Osama bin Laden, who was killed by US Navy Seals last May. Sunday, January 27, 2008 Viktor Schreckengost, the father of industrial design and creator of the Jazz Bowl, an iconic piece of Jazz Age art designed for Eleanor Roosevelt during his association with Cowan Pottery died yesterday. He was 101. Schreckengost was born on June 26, 1906 in Sebring, Ohio, United States. Schreckengost's peers included the far more famous designers Raymond Loewy and Norman Bel Geddes. Tuesday, January 24, 2006 The Walt Disney Company has finalized a US$7.4 billion deal to acquire its long-time partner Pixar in an all stock buy-out.
