Cocaine found in frozen mango puree shipped to Montréal, Canada

Wednesday, June 20, 2007 The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) announced Tuesday that they had seized approximately 160 kilograms of cocaine discovered in buckets of frozen mango puree imported from Mexico. Investigations led the police to a shipping container destined for the Port of Montréal, in the Canadian province of Québec. Principal, teacher arrested for allegedly whipping two students late for school in Ayetoro, Nigeria

Saturday, May 19, 2018 Ogun state police said the proprietor, the principal, and a teacher at Meteorite Standard School in Ayetoro, Nigeria were arrested on Wednesday for allegedly tying two students — one male and one female — to crosses and lashing them with a horsewhip for being late to school. They are being charged with assault as well as intention to cause grievous bodily harm. New Zealand boarding school closed due to gastro-enteritis outbreak

Friday, March 17, 2006 Nelson Boys College was closed today because of an outbreak of gastro-enteritis in its boarding houses. About 40% of the school's boarding students have been hit with what is thought to be the highly contagious and violent stomach bug, Norovirus. The principal, Salvi Garguilo, says the boys are being well cared for at the school, helped by Nelson Hospital. They will stay isolated until they are no longer contagious. Nelson College will reopen on Monday.

Kurdish forces advance as international opposition to Islamic State grows

Monday, August 18, 2014 Yesterday the Peshmerga, military of the autonomous region of Kurdistan in Iraq, gained control of parts of the Mosul Dam, as part of their advance against insurgents of the Islamic State.
