Canadian charter airline Skyservice suspends operations

Wednesday, March 31, 2010 Skyservice, a Canadian charter airline, has cancelled several flights from Toronto's Pearson International Airport, with reports that the airline has ceased operations. The company cites debt levels and changes in the vacation travel market with its decision to shut down operations and file for receivership. Canadian military exercise NANOOK 2008 travels through uncharted waters

Wednesday, August 27, 2008 Operation NANOOK 2008 was held from August 11 to August 25 by the Canadian Forces for the purpose of conducting mock emergency rescue operations for potential maritime disasters in the northeastern Canadian Arctic waters. Two Canadian navy ships and two airforce planes, a CC-138 Twin Otter and a CP-140 Aurora, took part in the exercises in the Canada's Arctic. Deer and other animals found dead at Ball State University

Sunday, November 20, 2005 The carcasses of two deer, a coyote, and a possum were dumped in the Delta Gamma Iota fraternity house on the campus of Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana on November 10. The dead animals were apparently placed in the house while members slept. A repairman discovered the prank while working in the house's kitchen. Members left the house for at least a day while the animals were removed and the house was disinfected by the Delaware County Health Department. Thursday, January 28, 2010 The International Air Transport Association (IATA) said on Wednesday that 2009 was the "worst year" that the airline industry has ever seen since 1945.
